JULJA @ Kontti
Please be reminded that tomorrow 10.5.2013 team JULJA will be presenting not only themselves and the company, but also JULJA's F/W collection to the public at Kontti in Turku starting at 10am. The Kontti (trailer) will be situated at Vähätori, behind the main library.
JULJA offers the public an opportunity to get to know the team, as well as the collection first hand and up close. The dancers from Dance Studio Funky will also be performing, and photographer Niko Peltoniemi from Studio Shalasaska will be capturing the moments of the day.
This event will give you a great opportunity to get acquainted. If you have any questions on your mind, show up and ask! JULJA clothing also comes alive in the evening at Kontti. Come and find out how!
Estonia
As we mentioned earlier, we took a business trip to Estonia on Monday. It was very successful and now we're super excited about our future. Here are a few photos from the trip.

And the award goes to..
"My dream is coming true!" These are the words that emotional, yet happy and proud JULJA designer Nora Peltoniemi said after winning the Hyundai Brilliant Young Entrepreneur Award of 15 000 euros at the JA Start Up-Finals in Helsinki yesterday. Fellow team members Inka Kiuru and Johanna Hakala also fell short of words in utmost happiness and astonishment.
The judges were amazed by their determination, creativity, business oriented thinking, as well as all the hard work that they have put into JULJA. All the long working hours and sleepless nights have paid off and winning that amazing prize will not only give them the boost to continue, but also an opportunity to continue their work and carry on the potential of making JULJA a well know brand not only here in Finland, but elsewhere.
As much as Nora, Inka and Johanna are eager to celebrate their achievement, the'll be doing it whilst working on this and next weeks events. This Friday JULJA clothing as well as the whole team will be at Kontti in Turku, were they welcome the public for an exquisite experience. TEHDAS13 cultural event in Kuopio 11.5.2013 and JULJA's Fall/Winter collection launch at the Apollo Nightclub in Turku next Saturday 18.5.2013.
"We are walking on air at the moment. Haven't yet fully grasped the fact that we won, but it's an amazing feeling", says marketing manager Inka Kiuru.
Although JULJA's calendar is packed with events and lots of work at the moment, I sure hope they take time to breath it all in and embrace the moment.

These weeks
If you've been wondering why we haven't updated our blog in a while, the answer is simply that we have just been really busy planning and working on our upcoming events. At the moment we are currently on a business trip in Estonia from which we will be back late on Monday night, just in time for the JA Start Up Finals.
It seems just like yesterday when we decided to take part in the JA-YE Start Up Programme for young entrepreneurs. The truth is, it's been almost half a year since that journey began and it has been an amazing one. We have learned so much and accomplished a lot in that short time frame, although no doubt we still have a long way to go. The list of things JULJA wants to accomplish is not even close to being over so we've only just begun.

With all this said, we would like to let you know that JULJA will be participating in the JA-YE Start Up Finals in Helsinki on Tuesday 7th of May 2013, along side other competitors. The prizes are phenomenal, so JULJA is definitely in the run for a win!
Next Friday the 10th of May 2013 we will also have a trailer in the city center of Turku. You are all welcomed to come and get aquinted with the JULJA team, ask questions, find out more about JULJA and see some of the designs from our Fall/Winter collection first hand. We're also happy to announce that JULJA got in the Startup Journey 2013. It's going to be quite a summer for us and we're certainly ready for it. Here are two pictures taken a few weeks ago. The first one is before our big interview with Startup Journey and the second one is taken right after the interview. Haha!
