Behind the scenes

Last Tuesday we had a photoshoot with a talented young photographer, Mikko Puttonen. In these shoots we combined our second hand clothes and clothes from Premiere -collection. We had two very amazing locations to take these photos so we were all quite excited when this day finally arrived.

Our model, Noora arrived from Helsinki early in the morning. After hair and make up was done and we had gathered all the necessary equipment for the shoot, we headed towards our first location. Sarianna Sormunen was the person behind the make up and hair of our model.

We started from Nordkalk quarry at Parainen which was an amazing and unique location to shoot. Although it was quite windy and cold at the top, we got amazing photos and had a good time. After that we moved to one amazing looking roof so we didn't get away from the wind. The weather was perfect for the mood that we wanted to be in the pictures. For once you could actually be thankful for the dark and cloudy sky, haha.

These pictures tell you maybe more about the day so take a look.

(Looks like the CEO ate a few donuts, haha.)

We owe a huge thanks for all who made this photoshoot possible. So THANK YOU! Let's wait for the amazing pictures to be published ;)

Emilia follows different fashion blogs regularly and she describes fashion and clothing as a way to express herself.

JULJA Second Hand

As you may have already seen or heard, we have a little surprise for you guys. Those of you who love making catches in flea markets but also like to shop online, hear us out!

We are also going to sell second hand clothes carefully handpicked by our designer. The first round will be published by the end of September in our online store. We'll definitely show you some teasers before that so you can prepare yourself and of course your wallet for the shopping round.

Yesterday we had a long day of photoshooting almost all of the JULJA Second Hand clothes. We can't wait to see the final results of yesterday! Thanks belongs to our lovely supermodel Annaliina and our talented photographer Mette.

Here you can see a few snapshots with poor quality from yesterday. If you follow us on Instagram, you've probably seen part of these. If not, now is a good time to do that so you can take a peek behind the scenes on real time and see more pictures that we're not publishing anywhere else!

Despite this she still feels the urge to strengthen her roots here in Finland. You know what they say, “You need to be rooted somewhere.”

One comment that Heidi had after the photoshoot was that, “JULJA clothing is wonderfully designed and implemented." Here are some pictures of Heidi taken at Kontti last May.

JULJA Women: Riikka Isaksson nee Sinisalo

Wife, mother of four, and instructor/educator Riikka Isaksson Os Sinisalo (43) also participated in our JULJA Women Campaign. Riikka is one of the few people who got to know about JULJA first hand, as she is the mother of our designer Nora’s boyfriend.

Riikka says that JULJA clothing felt almost as if they were melting on her. No seams felt pressing and the clothes made her not only feel, but also look in good shape.

One of her goals is to be able to go to San Francisco with her whole family. She also dreams of being able to continue sharing the joy and the sense of feeling good with others through her work. She points out that we live in a hectic world and she would like to be able to make people stop and notice the little beauties of life in different moments and be able to learn to enjoy them.

Here are some pictures of Riikka dressed in JULJA clothing.

JULJA Women Campaign @ Kontti

About a month ago we had the opportunity to display JULJA at Kontti here in Turku. Part of the day's program at Kontti was taking pictures for our JULJA Women Campaign. Photographer Niko Peltoniemi turned Kontti into a photo studio, where he took some pretty amazing shots of eight women dressed in JULJA clothing. We will be gradually publishing these pictures of the eight  beautiful ladies who participated that day.

Here is our first participant:

Julia Pentimäki (25) is a cultural management and cultural history student. Julia has been working as an assistant at the Maaret  Finnberg art gallery for about 4 years now. Culture in general has always been something Julia has been interested in and has been one of her hobbies. She has an interest in fashion and loves clothes although she admits that she spends most of her money on designer bags and accessories. She loves reading fashion magazines such as Vogue, Elle, and Teen Vogue, and the Finnish Gloria magazine. She was one of the few who had the opportunity to find out about JULJA first hand, and was very excited to be part of the JULJA Women Campaign.

Here are some pictures of Julia taken at Kontti.
