Stockholm
Last week Johanna and I spent a couple days in Stockholm. The point of the trip was to attend a seminar about branding, look for retailers in Stockholm, visit Transit Kulturinkubator, do some benchmarking and enjoy the beautiful city. And that was what we did. And also some shopping, oops.
All in all, the trip was very successful and we got a lot of positive feedback from our SS14 clothes that we wore during the trip. Can't wait to open our online store!! If you haven't subscribed our newsletter yet, you should! You'll get first hand information about the opening, not to mention a special subscribers discount! ;) So, click click!
But let's get back to that later. Meanwhile, take a look these photos from the trip.
Have a great week everyone!

F/W13 Naming process
We've been working on this F/W 2013 collection for almost a year now but we haven't named the clothes yet. We've been calling them with all sorts of nicknames but the real naming process hasn't proceeded. It's about the time to do that, isn't it?
We decided to name our first collection after the models that we had in our very first own fashion show at Apollo nightclub on 18th May. Also part of the clothes are named after our JULJA Women campaign models. So, here they are. Pick your favorite!
Anthea blouse & Ilona cut-out pants
Julia blazer
Veera vest
Louisa dress
Olivia pants
Viivi top & Meri cut-out pants
Pauliina dress
Riikka blouse & Emilia pants
Annaliina dress
In addition to these clothes we also have the long sleeveless dress called Rosa, but unfortunately we don't have a picture of it right now.

JULJA Women: Emilia Lahtivuori
Emilia Lahtivuori (21) said she always knew our
designer Nora Peltoniemi had the eye for clothing fit for the women body, so she was
rather flattered to wear JULJA clothing for the JULJA Women Campaign. Emilia is
currently studying Adult Education at the University of Turku. Her hobbies include
sports, singing, playing the accordion and reading. Emilia follows different
fashion blogs regularly and she describes fashion and clothing as a way to
express herself.

OFFICE
Now it's official: We have an office space for us! FINALLY! We can't even describe how happy we are after working a year here and there.
This morning we were there signing our contract and measuring so we can start renovating asap. As you can see from these pictures below, it needs a bit of JULJA touch ;)

JULJA Second Hand
As you may have already seen or heard, we have a little surprise for you guys. Those of you who love making catches in flea markets but also like to shop online, hear us out!
We are also going to sell second hand clothes carefully handpicked by our designer. The first round will be published by the end of September in our online store. We'll definitely show you some teasers before that so you can prepare yourself and of course your wallet for the shopping round.
Here you can see a few snapshots with poor quality from yesterday. If you follow us on Instagram, you've probably seen part of these. If not, now is a good time to do that so you can take a peek behind the scenes on real time and see more pictures that we're not publishing anywhere else!

JULJA Women: Heidi Perala
Here's one of our JULJA Women campaign models, 24-year-old Geography student and clothing sales assistant, Heidi Perala. Heidi's hobbies include photography, pilates, roller-skating and going to the gym. She enjoys travelling and adventures, like snowboarding
down a volcanic mountain. Despite this she still feels the urge to strengthen
her roots here in Finland. You know what they say, “You need to be rooted
somewhere.”
